Abstract
This paper aims to give answers to a series of objections and critical remarks raised by Shuaib Al-Faqir in his review of our article: "The Theory of Speech Action and its Applications in Inferring the Divine Nature of the Qur’anic Text: Al-Fakhr Al-Razi as an Example." Our objective is to underscore that in Al-Razi's understanding of human action, the concept of choice was not denied. This assertion is substantiated through the analysis of selected texts and discussions involving scholars who have explored his perspectives, including Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn al-Wazir. Furthermore, we aim to elucidate the distinction between Al-Razi’s conception of choice and that of the Mu’tazilites, particularly concerning the matter of creating actions.
