A Study of (Ovelapping of Knoiwwledge and the End of Specialization) by Muhammed Hammam: Presentation and Analysis
Abstract
This research offers a presentation for the most important ideas presented in the book entitled (The Overlapping of Knowledge and the End of Specialization: A Study of the Relationships among Sciences). This research is not intended to be limited for presentation and description, but it rather goes beyond that discussing all those ideas and analyzing them based on the opinions of those scholars interested in this branch of knowledge like Taha Abdul Rahman, Fathi Malakawi, Abdul Rahman Buderi and others. In addition to describing the book and including general information and opinions about it, this research discusses the issue of knowledge overlapping and the most common terms used to express overlapping, communication and the reaction taking place between sciences and knowledge as well as the issue of the factors and backgrounds of the emergence of the crisis of specialization. In addition, this paper covers the reappearance of knowledge overlapping in modern times; one of the most common obstacles of the success of knowledge overlapping. This paper concludes that Hammam studies is within the frame of the epistemology of Islamic knowledge; modern studies that try to combine theory and application in order to put an appropriate foundation for the field of knowledge overlapping, and overcoming cognitive crisis resulting from narrow specialization.
