The Study of Islam: The Work of Henry Corbin
Abstract
This article presents a translation of Hamid Al-Kar's article, entitled "The Study of Islam ... The Work of Henry Corbin." Henry Corbin, a French professor of Islamic studies, is an exception among the Orientalists. He contributed until the day of his death, on October 7, 1978, in developing a rich and varied blog of writings. His writings deal with various aspects of spiritual life in Islam, unmatched by anything left by other orientalists. He took Iran and Shiism as his final reference point.
