The Current State of Moral Philosophy between Kant and Dewey
Abstract
The research aims to provide a translation of Richard Rorty’s article “The Current Status of Moral Philosophy between Kant and Dewey”. He analyzes many debates at length, and indicates that such debates concern alternative moral identities. It is, then, about arguments on which we can build--as opposed to discussions about the alternative entitlements of the imperative and the utilitarian principle.
