Abstract
The research aims at exploring the concept of the cause for philosophers, theologians and fundamentalists, a study in issues of derivation and adapting. It was divided into a preamble that dealt with the most prominent concepts related to the concept of cause and the theologian philosophers, and four topics. The first topic dealt with the concept of the cause in Greek philosophy: Aristotle as a model. The second topic discussed: the Cause for Muslim philosophers and issues of derivation and adaptation of the Aristotelian sublime perception. The third topic dealt with the cause among the theologians. The fourth topic focused on the cause in fundamentalist thought. The research concluded that the study of the methodology of deriving concepts and adapting them in the Arab Islamic heritage is a current scientific project, which has strategic dimensions represented in the ability of the Muslim thinker to renew the conceptual apparatus and to gather the conditions for investing the transferred concepts according to the rules of Arab Islamic circulation. And that eliciting concepts should be avoided at ease and randomness, and be preceded by scientific labor that monitors their cognitive and functional competencies.
