The Bias of Concepts from Conceptual Criticism to the Horizon of Civilized Construction: The Concept of Culture according to Malik bin Nabi as a Model

Abstract

This research attempts to approach the concept of culture, firmly believing that the crisis of development and civilizational renaissance that we are suffering from is a comprehensive and complex crisis; it is a crisis of society as a whole; it is a crisis of starting point, a crisis of process, and a crisis of fate, it is, in the words of Malik Bennabi, the problem of the culture of this society mainly. The research was divided into an introduction and two axes: first, the cultural concept in Western thought: models, definitions, and perceptions in Western social and human sciences, and second, towards an alternative Arab-Islamic vision for the concept of culture: Malik bin Nabi as a model.
