Jurisprudence on the Uses of Solarized Water: A Computerized Jurisprudential Approach

Abstract

This study explores the potential of employing computerized intelligence algorithms—particularly fuzzy logic—in analyzing jurisprudential rulings on the use of solarized water, while emphasizing that such tools should not replace traditional ijtihād or reduce the issue to a purely mathematical framework detached from its legal foundations. It begins from the observation that rulings on solarized water vary between permissibility, dislike, and nuanced detail depending on factors such as evidence strength, possible harm, vessel type, duration of solarization, context of use, and necessity. The research seeks to construct a computerized jurisprudential model that simulates the reasoning of the four schools of law by converting these elements into linguistic variables, membership functions, and fuzzy inference rules, thereby testing the model’s capacity to generate graduated rulings attentive to text, context, reality, and objectives. Its hypotheses rest on the superiority of fuzzy logic over binary logic in representing gradated jurisprudential issues, the feasibility of computerized modeling without undermining legal constants, and the enhanced precision gained by integrating harm, context, custom, and need into reasoning. Ultimately, the study aims to assess the credibility of computerized judgment, measure its alignment or bias toward particular schools, propose mechanisms for directing such bias according to sectarian affiliation, and open pathways for intelligent jurisprudential models that assist jurists in addressing complex, variable‑laden issues while advancing contemporary tools of deduction within the methodological and purposive framework of Sharīʿa.
