Abstract
The research aims to identify the contribution of the orientalist Miklós Murányi in serving the Maliki heritage in the Islamic West, and his relationship with it. It also monitors the factors of his influence on those orientalists who preceded him who were interested in the Arab heritage in general, and in jurisprudential studies in particular, and also its influence and relationship with Muslim researchers in general and scholars and investigators of the Maliki heritage in the Islamic West in particular. In addition to clarifying some of the scientific and methodological objections and observations on his investigative and theoretical works related to the heritage of Maliki Islam in the Islamic West and its scholars. This is done using a method that combines description and criticism, and it is organized into five axes and a conclusion. This research concluded that Murányi reflected the German Orientalist school, which is generally characterized by objectivity, neutrality, and rigor in scientific research with accuracy and precision. However, he - like other Orientalists - fell into some unscientific matters due to the lack of complete knowledge of the literature of research and writing among our ancient scholars: whether it is related to language or methodology, especially among the modern scholars.
