Abstract

This study seeks to reveal a fresh look at Muhammad al-Tahir Ibn Ashour mechanism of linguistic interpretation in his huge project Tahreer Al-ma’na Al-Sadeed wa Tanweer Al-A’ql Al-Jadeed Min Tafseer Al-Kitab Al-Majeed through a specific viewpoint which is interviewing a bunch of his linguistic qualifications and addendum to Imam Al-Zamakhshari’s book Al-Kashaf. In order to achieve this purpose, the methodology of this paper was spiral, in which it relied on the implicit separation between what was a type of violation and what was a type of innovation, as they are ultimately features of the innovation taking place in liberation and enlightenment. I also divided the research within this methodology into three components according to a clear criterion, which is the nature of the guidelines used by Ibn Ashour to explain his overcoming to Al-Kashaf in his analysis of various placements in The Quran. These components showed up in various configurations such as deliberative, terminological and occasional. The research conclusion confirmed the validity of a hypothesis that Ibn Ashour himself made about the truth of his interpretation, which he expressed by saying: “It contains the best of what is in interpretations, and in it is better than what is in interpretations.” Another important conclusion is the proof of the great awareness that accompanied the caller of liberation and enlightenment throughout his analysis of the verses which shows the necessity of revealing the supreme purpose of the Qur’an in delivering guidance and reform to the recipient by taking into account his or her circumstances. which is the most important result of this research paper.
