Abstract

This is a rooting study in which the issue of creation and elimination is presented as a discipline of the Qur’an sciences, and was applied to Surat An-Nur considering that the subject of Surat An-Nur is the preservation of honor and progeny, which is one of the five necessities to which the science of creation and elimination is related. The study provided answers to a number of questions, including the meaning of creation and elimination as a Qur’anic science; the relationship of creation and elimination in the Qur’anic legislation to the Qur’anic purposes; the types of creation; and the relationship between creation and elimination in the Qur’anic legislation. The study is divided into two parts: theoretical part and practical part. The former presented the meaning of creation and elimination, relationship, fields, and characteristics. The latter covered creation and elimination in Surat An-Nur. The study revealed a number of findings: a comprehensive definition of creation and elimination was provided; the scope of elimination is wider than that of creation; and that the relationship between creation and elimination in the Qur'anic legislation is mutual and complementary.
