Abstract

This research paper attempts to study the universal law of rhetoric and the problem of origin and branch between Al-Ashaayrah and Ibn-Taymyaah, since the nature of the relationship between reason and transmission made it necessary to formulate general rules from which a number of questions existed belonging to various fields of knowledge in general, and in the fields of theology and jurisprudence in specific. All this is motivated by the desire to bypass all the problems that appear in such fields of knowledge and also in order to maintain a comprehensive vision for all Islamic sciences. It is on this basis that Islam scientists formulated their universal law determining the relationship between reason and transmission; a law which helps to distinguish between those cases which show contradiction between revelation and reason in different formulas: philosophers’ formula which states that the denotation of texts is directed to the public. As for the Mutakalimin formula, it has two shapes: the first with reason as the origin, and the second with the revelation as the origin.
