Abstract

This article treats the contributions of one of the most prominent Yemeni scholars during the ninth century )A.H(, which did not receive much attention and celebration by researchers and scholars. Indeed, a lot of polemic was raised about his sectarian affiliation, which led to his intellectual and doctrinal career. He was initially affiliated with the Zaydi scholars, then it was believed by a number of scholars, based on what he wrote himself in his famous books, that he had won the Sunni way by exhorting him to adhere to the first principles of Islam (the Qur’an and Sunnah). This is related to the scholar of «Yemen», Muhammad bin Ibrahim bin Ali, known as Ibn Al-Wazir Al-Yamani (775-840 AH). The main purpose of the research was confined to studying the man’s approach to doctrinal argumentation, in the light of his book “ ترجيح أساليب القرآن”, in which he triumphed over the Qur’anic method in proving and inferring the beliefs as will be explained in the body of the research.
